Product Summary: Core Benefits of the COD-100R The COD-100R is a professional-grade instrument for intelligent digestion, specifically designed for sample preparation prior to use in chemical analysis. The digestion process is a critical part of the analytical workflow, as it breaks down complicated mixtures so that target analytes can be released for analysis. By providing precise, flexible, and efficient digestion, the COD-100R is a valuable addition to any laboratory engaged in environmental monitoring and water quality testing, scientific research, and industrial quality assurance

Key Specifications (1) Adjustable Temperature Range of 100-165 Degree Celsius The wide temperature range of 100-165 Degree Celsius allows the COD-100R to digest a wide variety of sample types, including 150 Degrees Celsius for standard COD water analyses, 160-165 Degrees Celsius for soils or industrial wastewaters containing refractory materials. Temperature precision of ±1 Degree Celsius is achieved with a high-accuracy platinum resistance temperature sensor and a microprocessor controlled algorithm, preventing either over- or under-digested samples. In addition, the pre-set temperature feature allows for automatic heating and hold times, thus saving time spent preparing for an experiment. (2) Flexible Time Range of 0-120 Minutes A timer range of 0-120 minutes allows the operator to obtain the required digestion time depending upon the sample type, as for water samples, 30 min to 60 Freezer-time is usually required while 60-120 minutes would be more appropriate for soils or sludges. In this way, consistency between batches is assured due to the timer tolerance of ±1 minute. The automatic power off function will turn off the COD-100R after the digestion cycle is complete, thus preventing overheating, conserving energy, and providing a higher level of operational safety by no longer requiring continual monitoring.

21 Digestion Tubes: High Throughput and Uniformly Heated The 21 digestion holes provide for high throughput as the maximum number of samples to be digested simultaneously is 21 samples, therefore allowing greater productivity to be achieved within the laboratory. When the 21 digestion tubes are precision machined to accommodate 16mm/20mm's square standard tubes, they are aligned concentrically and effectively transmit heat uniformly. The circumferential heating design provides for no thermal discrepancies in the sample under digestion, and the PTFE coating of the digestion tub with respect to corrosion resistant material provides for longer Durations of Use between Cleaning/Replacement.
