Color consistency & accuracy are two of the main indicators used to evaluate the quality of manufactured products. These quality evaluation standards apply to many manufacturing industries such as; coatings, plastics, textiles, printing, building materials and furniture. Businesses with small-to-medium enterprise size as well as manufacturing facilities/production lines that require daily detection of color difference, but have limited budgets and/or capital outlay, will benefit from basic low-cost stable easy-to-use color measurement devices. The SKZ3020 Portable Horizontal Spectrophotometer was designed to be an economical basic model for this purpose; there are no complex/expensive redundant features; by utilizing only core components of the optical performance and basic measurement functions needed for daily detection of colour differences. The instrument's single aperture design structure with a full spectrum (white) LED light source provides consistent repeatable results with a SCI standard measurement mode (standard color measurement method) within the normal range of color difference detection.
